  • Wash hands frequently especially after using the washroom as it contains the maximum number of bacterias
  • Avoid sharing your food or water as tonsillitis is highly contagious or can spread from one person to another
  • Practice good hygiene

Soft or cold foods should be preferred for example-frozen yogurt as it can provide temporary relief or it will be gentle on the throat, hard foods like chips, crackers etc should be avoided as it can cause increased irritation and pain in the throat

If your child has trouble in breathing or is drooling or if the home remedies prove to be ineffective seek medical assistance immediately.
