Bad Parenting Signs – If your child doesn’t respect others feelings, the reason might be you always order them-not giving importance to their feelings.
I got a frantic call from a mother who was very concerned about her 15 years old girl’s unruly – aggressive behaviour towards elders. She complained about her attitude, avoiding replying back and using not respectful language around the house and even harming herself. The question on my mind was, how & from where did it begin? It is obvious that such unacceptable behavior is stemming from somewhere. My emphasis went straight to her younger growing days and wondered how the home environment and growing up experiences were like?
Child’s mind is as tender as their body.
Their mind is like a clean slate. On that slate the parents write their kids’ future by their means of parenting. Children are a product of their environment and parents influence them the maximum.
Your child is an echo of your actions.
The way you behave with them & others, they will replicate back in the same manner. If you are very respectful towards them & everyone’s feelings, they will do the identical. Kids always crave for love, emotional stability via quality time & care. It helps them feel safe, comforts them, helps them feel accepted and builds self-esteem. But when you don’t care for your child’s feelings, he will learn to do the same, thus not respecting others too. Such children might even be verbally short-tempered or tantrum kids, because you have always been ordering him/her around since his birth. Sometimes they take revenge through their aggressive behaviour to hurt others – many a time for no proper reason
My dear Parents Treat the child the way you want to be treated and be the person you want your child to be…..!!!
